Sun Corridor Network response to coronavirus (COVID-19)

The Sun Corridor Network (SCN) is closely monitoring the current situation here in Arizona, nationally and globally concerning the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). We recognize that many of you will need to consider approaches that create new and dynamic demands of your network and ours. With this in mind we want you to know what we have done, are doing and will be prepared to do on your behalf.

SCN staff has transitioned to remote work, according to SNC’s Business Continuity Plan, which includes contingencies for a pandemic. The shift has gone smoothly. We have implemented remote solutions for business operations including phones and virtual private networks, and we continue to coordinate with the many telecommunications companies who are our partners.

As a critical partner to your organization, SCN maintains our services 24/7/365. The mission to insure smooth business operations for our subscriber organizations drives our service delivery, monitoring, and crisis preparation & response efforts. We want to assure you that SCN is both redundant and resilient, meaning when an emergency happens, we have multiple layers of hardware and staffing ready to provide support to you. Our engineers continually monitor and assess network traffic levels and make adjustments as needed to ensure reliable operations. At this point, we do not anticipate any network issues. In case of any network emergency, the SCN NOC should be contacted using the same escalation procedures that your networking leads would use for any issue.

SCN seeks to help you and your organization for any situation including the unanticipated impact that might come from a large-scale human virus pandemic.
